There are always plenty of activities for a resident or visitor to enjoy in the Wilbur area and in Lincoln County. Here is a list of examples or go online to www.visitlincolncountywashington.com.

  • Get a hole-in-one at the Big Bend Golf and Country Club in Wilbur.
  • Practice your serve on the tennis courts at Emerson Park (east end of Wilbur) or at the new courts in nearby Creston.
  • Run, jog or walk on the track at Emerson Park.
  • Hit a homerun at the Emerson Park baseball field.
  • Shoot hoops on the school’s outdoor basketball courts or the court at the downtown skating rink.
  • Rollerskate or scooter at Wilbur’s downtown outdoor rink. There are also skate parks in Creston and Almira.
  • Dive into the outdoor Wilbur Public Pool, open all summer, days and evenings.
  • Catch walleye, trout, kokanee, bass, sturgeon, burbot or whitefish in area creeks, lakes, and in Lake Roosevelt.
  • Hunt for big game like deer, moose, cougar, bear and elk or fowl like pheasant, quail and wild turkey, with the proper licenses and in season.
  • Bird watch on the Coulee Corridor Scenic Byway route of the Great Washington State Birding Trail.
  • Tour the Big Bend Historical Society Museum in Wilbur or the Colville Tribal Museum in Grand Coulee Dam.
  • Picnic or play on the playground at the Wilbur Town Park.
  • Boat, water ski, canoe, kayak, wind surf and swim in Lake Roosevelt.
  • Pitch a tent or park an RV at the numerous public and private campgrounds in the area, on state and federal lands south of Creston, or in Channel Scablands north of Odessa.
  • Follow in the footsteps of the first tribes that hunted and fished along the Columbia River while hiking in the Colville National Forest.

  • Strap on snowshoes and take a winter hike around the area.

  • Try your luck gambling at either Two Rivers Casino or Coulee Dam Casino.
  • Visit Grand Coulee Dam and watch the evening laser light show.
  • View the plentiful wildlife throughout the area.
  • Ride Keller Ferry across Lake Roosevelt on foot or by car.
  • For a scenic drive, go up Highway 21 toward Republic along the San Poil River. Fall colors are especially beautiful in this area
  • Land small planes at the Wilbur Municipal Airport.
